Pasta Surprise
Serves 4

Ingredients
275g(10 oz) tagliatelle
15g (1/2 oz) butter
1 medium onion chopped
175g (6oz) frozen peas
175g (6oz) frozen sweet corn
150ml (1/4 pint) stock
15ml (1tbsp) corn flour
300ml (10floz) fresh single cream
175g (6oz) cooked smoked ham, cut into strips
Pepper
50g(2oz) cheese, grated (optional)

Method
1.Collect ingredients, tie hair back, wash hands
2.Cook pasta in boiling water for 8-10 minutes
3.Melt butter in a saucepan and cook onion until soft
4.Add peas, sweetcorn and stock for 2 minutes
5.Blend cornflour with a little cold water
6.Stir into vegetables with cream and ham. Cook gently until thickened. Season to taste.
7.Drain pasta and stir into sauce
8.Serve, sprinkle with cheese
9.Wipe surfaces, and wash up.
